I started trying to do this before I found this website and I have to say I’ve been making a fair amount of progress….I workout 5 days a week with two days off…doing body exercises and weights…stuff called “crossfit” which is supposed to work fairly well….it makes me feel great :D
How to get muscles
How I did it: Like so many of my goals, it's a neverending process, but I list this goal as "done" because I am seeing results.
Find an activity you love and just do it. I really don't like lifting weights. I mean, I can do it, but I'll get bored of it really fast.
Instead I started training in kung fu, which works every msucle in your body. I thought I was getting a work out with a regular jogging habit, but running works your calves and doesn't seem to work out your whole body or build up muscle like kung fu is doing.
Other things that have helped: yoga. Get a teacher for this. So much more helpful than a workout tape. It just isn't the same, particularly if you're in it for the spiritual aspect.
Cut back on your junk food, bread, pasta, white flour products, anything with white sugar. Up your intake of protein and vegetables. Carbs convert to fat while protein helps with building muscle.
Drink a lot of water. Besides keeping you hyrdrated, it'll cut down on how much you eat. You can have great muscles but nobody'll see them if there's fat covering them.

Well we never ended up going when I posted the last entry, almost 2 years ago.
However I have recently been going to the gym by myself. It’s only been 2 weeks so far so no visible difference yet but I feel better after every time I go.
I figure it’ll take about 6 months before I start to feel really happy with the amount of muscle I’ve put on. Wish me luck!

So I started working out five days a week, and I’m just beginning to see muscles! Yay!
Stu and I are going to be joining a gym the first time we both get a weekend day free to go and look around some. Hopefully that will be this weekend… wish us luck!
I don’t want to go to the gym but I want to work on my leg muscles. maybe by doing really good exercises. any tips?
I have been going to the gym for 2 months now. I can already see a change, but at this point, I really need to change the way I eat.
