I want this not only for physical health but also for mental health and self esteem. I am currently sitting at 150lbs and want to get down to around 110lbs. I was a dancer and has two major injuries in the past 2 and a half years. I was also very active playing a lot of sport and after the injuries i put on a lot of weight about 25 lbs and lost my confidence and ended up eating more and and putting on another 15lbs. I want my old body back. I want to be able to dance again because it is one of the few things that i have a true passion for in life. I will do this. I know I can. How to lose 40 lbs
How I did it: I kept my caloric intake to around 1200 a day. I also did between 30 minutes and one hour on a treadmill 3 or 4 days a week. I'm very busy as I work full time, go to school and have 2 children, so some weeks I only made it to the gym a couple of times and could only squeeze in 30 minutes. I still lost weight steadily, so any exercise you can manage to fit in counts! Drank LOTS and LOTS of water.

It’s been ages since I posted. 2 months apparently. I wish I could say I lost more than I did. I’m down to 153. But I’m now exercising regularly. =) An hour every day.

I started counting calories April 18, 2009 and have lost 10 lbs but still have 40 to go. My goal is to lose it by Dec 31st. I hope to lose sooner than that but I figured I should do it slowly.

I have started the Nutrisystem program last Saturday and I have lost 7 lbs the first week. Now, of course I don’t expect to lose like that every week but I like the jump start! I’m excited and feel like I’m actually going to do it this time. I figured i’ll give myself 4 to 5 months to reach my goal. This is super hard for me. I hope I can keep it up!

It’s only been 3 days, but if I post a lot, then I think I’ll stick to it more. I’ve been lifting weights and cutting out extra calories. Now I just need to add more healthy foods and some cardio. I’m at 160 right now. My goal weight is 120. Height: 5’3
I’m trying not to weight until the week is up, but its hard to stay away from the scale.
