"It's so nice not to feel like I sleep in a jail cell anymore."

How I did it: I had some time off work, so I put myself to work at home.  Our bedroom is in the basement, so it felt dingy and cold before.  Now it's so much brighter and warm feeling.

    Easier than I expected and with side-effects. 10 months ago

    All done in a shade of terracotta which looks better than it has any right to – and the act of painting has forced me to clear out or clear away 10 years worth of accumulated “stuff”. New shelving to follow soon, and it’s going to be a pleasure to spend time in the room again.

    But what color !!??!!?? 2 years ago

    ...I have had the intention of painting the bedroom for…oh, over a year now…one might think I could have decided on a color…DH and I have discussed it and he says “oh, anything will look fine”, so, it’s really up to me…

    I am totally going to pull the new mommy card on this one – I mean I really was too busy to think about much of anything for the last 355 days (still am)...but no more excuses…

    having just finished painting the trim and baseboards downstairs (a very white white – easy), which was one of my “things”, I now feel the urge to get this painting project DONE…I will, very soon.
