read the bible more

I was doing awesomely with this, but now I’ve started to go for days at a clip without reading the Word… Not good! Back to Revelation!

I love reading the bible but there are times, I will admit I struggle with readng the bible, my goal is to read the bible. I have been thinking about starting with matthew work my way to the back and then work my way around agan. I want to read the whole bble cover to cover in somewhat of an organized manner.

The books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, Galatians, Phillipians, Ephesians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Philemon, Hebrews, Titus, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude, and Revelation. However, I did this not reading the Bible everyday but reading it once a week. I plan on if I can read 25 books of the Bible in a year by reading the Bible once a week to read circles around that in 2009! To start reading the Bible everyday and hopefully my goal is to read the entire Bible 2-3 times in the year 2009!

I decided at the beginning of the year I would start reading the bible every day but after about 2 weeks I forgot about it and I slowly drifted away from God again.

I have now found a awesome site called ebible.com where you can search the bible and read the bible from almost every bible out there!!!

Ebible.com also has a audio section where the bible is played back to you, it’s a free service and I am going to start using it as much as I can!!!

Still not regularly but I don’t know that I can EVER be a “daily devotional” person. That feels too much like the legalism I HAD to leave behind in order to have a real relationship with God. But I HAVE been reading more, mostly in Isaiah and Jeremiah.

I really feel like I need to dive into God’s word more. I need it. I am craving it. But its hard because I am so busy and when i am not busy its not the first thing i want to do.

There are many contradictions, God allowing slaughter, Speech of silly things, and the whole confusion of the morning star (Lucifer and jesus). etc etc. It’s maddening and you don’t know what to believe.
