Build a sand and water table

I did this, how…

I got a plastic tub with a lid, put some sand in it, DONE.

I didn’t do the water bit, decided sand+water=mud. I am sure there will be lots of opportunity for mud in her future so why rush it!

I have been shopping around for a sand and water table for my 18 month old to play with in our “postage stamp” of a backyard for her to play with when our new baby sleeps and we can’t go to the park and they are very pricey.

It occured to me this should be pretty easy to make yourself so I have been searching the internet for ideas/plans and had no luck. Maybe someone on here will see this and give suggestions.
