A crisp bean burrito with mexi fries from taco time sounds super delicious right now, but I’m saying no. I haven’t eaten out in four days.
How I did it: I started meal planning. I made menus for the week...breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and desserts. I made sure to include some sweet treats and things that I'd normally run out for...but for the most part stuck to meal planning I keep the fridge pantry and freezer stocked. With that much stuff how could you wanna go out?
Lessons & tips: Take note of everything you have in the house, make a list & stick to it! Check out recipes before you go grocery shopping...buy in bulk and freeze what you can :) ziplocks and sharpies are your friends!! Don't forget the snacks!!

I eat out EVERYDAY! I have yet to actually go to a grocery store and shop. I’m sure it would be a lot cheaper. I’m going to work on this, and see how much money I can save.
disassembled is getting ready for class soon.
I’ve managed to stop eating out (which is tough considering my apartment building is built on top of a number of delicious restaurants!) and my bank account is thanking me for it. Especially considering how broke I am right now. I need all the money I can get. I’ve managed to not spend money on food at all since my parents got me a meal plan at my school. The food makes me super sick but at least I’m not wasting money!

SO Im not doing so well on this one. Busy days at work coming home to a mess…sometimes I just wanna run away & who cares about dinner! I have discovered though, it’s not just eating out. It’s also my bad habit of spending money on coffees. I LOVE ♥ coffe shops! STarbucks, Port City Java, Java City…doesn’t matter you got coffe?!
So I’ve tried to cut out my spending in that way too…and I’ve discovered a few things. I became a member of mypoints where I basically read emails for 5 points answer some surveys here and there and signed up for a few online photo sites like snapfish & clark photo & got a butt load of points. Anyways…they let you cash out your points IN STARBUCKS GIFT CARDS! Yay :} I have one on the way already cuz I was a clicking fool! haha
AND then I realized that YES i can make them at home & they will be just as good IF…IF IF I have a plastic cup with a straw. I know its all mental BUT Im not kidding you it worked. I bought this pretty plastic turquoise cup with a straw made myself and iced mocha with whipped cream EVEN some dark chocolate shavings & it was AMAZING! I made 3 yesterday & my niece & fiance loved it just as much as I did thats $15 bucks saved!! wooHoOO :]
I rock my own socks!
I’ve had to curb my eating out since my pursestrings have been drawn so tight. I went out to eat last Monday after a hard day at work to treat myself and who wants to cook on a Monday night after a hard day at work? Well, we went to Margie’s thinking we would get more bang for our buck. Margie’s portions are huge. Well, I ended up paying $15 for three cups of steamed vegetables. I could do that at home for much less. There was lasagna on the plate as well. A small portion and not out of this world. I’ve narrowed it down to a few eateries here in SLO Town when and if I go out. Tahoe Joe’s; for $15 I could have had a steak and the garlic mashed potatoes are bomb. Mo’s for BBQ. It’s authentic southern barbeque and I can’t repeat it at home. I don’t really grill. And I can’t even ingest fast food anymore. That’s all for now.

but what a better way to save money to buy myself them UFC tickets than to STOP EATING OUT! Yes…it’s perfect. My horoscope today was perfect it said to “get back in touch with my culinary skills, to express myself & save money” IT WAS MEANT TO BE…UFC here I come baby!
Went to the g-store last week and cooked all week and weekend. What fun! I loved it and want to keep exploring the cooking world. Very awesome, indeed.
