I wasn’t there for very long, and mostly I managed to avoid the night shifts, but this was seriously one of the most enjoyable jobs I’ve ever had! Insanity is pretty much a must for this job, but who wants to work with sane people anyway?
ashley2586 is working.
Gaining experience in a high end bakery is a dream of mine. I love baking and decorating, the opportunity would definitely give me something to look forward to.
Jake It's Hot in Australia!! >.<" lol
my mum and dad worked in a bakery which was my dads parents… before they were married and after…
I’ve always fantasized about opening up a cookie business. I even sold homemade frozen cookie dough for about a year. It was called heavenly cookies. I enjoyed it…but it was a lot of work.
is not my idea of a good time. I renounce this goal and wonder what ever possessed me to think it was a good idea in the first place.
i baked breads and things at a small natural foods bakery while in college. i really had a lot of fun, and often miss having a job that required me to lift heavy things like giant pans of dough…at the end of the day, I’d go home and feel like I’d actually done work, as compared to now when I sit in front of a computer all day. I think there’s a lot of bonding that goes on between people who work in kitchens together, and I learned tons about baking and cooking from people who knew more than me. I also enjoyed being able to be creative with the pastries and gather a customer base who was sad to see me leave.
Today I’m going to go down to Laggens Bakery in the “village” of Lake Louise and drop of my resume.

I used to work in the bakery of Star Market. It was fun. Everyday you get to create food for people. And the aromas of fresh bread, brownies, muffins, etc….are fantastic! It’s not really hard work, but you do have to follow the formulas (recipes), acurately as baking is like a science.
