understand and accept that i cannot work from home, hence no more excuses of bringing back work to do, becos it simply doesnt get done! and it is a waste of my time.

complete my work at the office then go home to rest.

so much to think about, especially before christmas.

ive passed my first block at college, which must mean im doing something right. i find prioritizing really works best. instead of working on lists of things to do, i just focus on the one thing that has to be done immediatley.

i cant say this is done though, because i do far to much throwing things together at the last minute. which is stressful and also i end up not doing my best. my last french class is tomorrow morning so im revising for that at the moment, then i can get onto planning my trip to paris sometime between the end of college and beginning of christmas… eek.

also i have to see my father next week to go shopping for presents for my mother and sister. and i need to get my hair cut and attend college and bring a coat back to the store and remember to eat. also im planning a trip out of the city next weekend, just to breathe clean air. and i need to book tickets for a show the week after that, and buy my new years party tickets and see all my friends before going to europe and then my parents for christmas. and i have to pay my electricity. and change banks. darrrn.

so i guess i wont be going swimming any time soon like i’d like. eh.

once a week, at least 12 months ago

I spend a few hours thinking of the important tasks (including homework) that need done for the week, compare with my work schedules and make a plan for what day I’m going to be doing what. This way, I can plan to have days I don’t really have to do anything. but still get everything done. Once that’s done, I make a more detailed list for each day, including what steps I need to take for papers I’m working, what needs done at work, and what bills need to be paid when.
I’d actually like to be more organized, but I think this is a good plan for the time being.

becoming more efficient 13 months ago

Before I was planning out each lesson individually, because each class is so different with very different needs. But I cannot do that anymore. I need to group classes together, even if I have to adapt the materials slightly.
I need to spend a certain amount of time each week researching general games for kids and topics for teenagers and adults. Then hopefully I can re-use all of those ideas throughout the week. I’ll still have work to do for each class but hopefully I can cut down on the overall planning time.

There are so many things I need to be doing right now, and so many other things I want to be doing. I find I waste a lot of time with work, I need to become more efficient so I’m not always bringing it home with me.

my goal is to not stay awake until 4 am every day I have several assignments due, or one big assignment. Yeah, I did that this week. Not good. So I need to organize my time, get things planned out better while allowing time for the things that are unplanned but just as important (if not urgent) like time spent with friends or talking to family members on the phone, or even just time by myself, chillaxing and resting.

Obsessed! 2 years ago

I’m still obsessed with the various task tracking software and I’m hoping that Tasks from King Design will be the solution. I’ve been using the trial and so far so good. It has all the features i’m looking for including:

*sub-tasks
*priorities
*tagging
*ical
*pda syncing

I’ll have to learn how to use the templating feature along with ways to change the esthetics but so far so good!
