eh... 2 years ago

I guess I’m going to buy the rest of what I don’t have once I get to college. I have no money for a new bed comforter right now. I’ll just take mine from home… so what if it’s too short and it doesn’t match the extra-long twin beds that colleges love. As for clothes… if I need it, I’ll buy it from the money I will make from my work study. And once I’ve settled into my busy schedule I won’t have time to be picky. The one type of clothing article that my closet is practically throwing out because of surplus is t-shirts. I’ll just be wearing my over-sized, worn out running t-shirts until I finally buy something else.

Oy. If only my sister was patient enough to go shopping with me more than once. Thanks to her I know at least own 2 pairs of jeans.

THINGS I NEED.... 2 years ago

To collect from around the house: hangers, trash can, suitcase, large plastic bin, under-the-bed box, sleeping bag, inflatable sleeping pad, hiking shoes, desk lamp

Clothes (in your room): t-shirts, underwear, socks, jackets/ sweatshirts, shoes

TO BUY: comforter, comforter cover, soft pillow and an extra blanket, 5 daytime casual shirts, 3 pairs of shorts, tights, comfy “everywhere” shoes.

ARGH… This is really saddening. My poor kitty is already crying. She follows me to the bathroom and upstairs, to the kitchen, to the trashcan down the street, and basically EVERYWHERE when I’m at home. MY baby Madame Peekan pie… I will miss you the most : (

two hours to go, and counting.

hmmm 2 years ago

Well, seeing as I am leaving for college in approximately 9 hours, I should probably try to accomplish this goal in the very near future.

Update #1 2 years ago

SO far, I’ve packed one box full of clothes, including sports attire, “chill” attire, winter accessories, ear plugs, PJs, and a few pairs of fuzzy socks. YAY!!!

Organizing, throwing away, all of that fun stuff about moving 3 years ago

My room was always cluttered in high school, by packing I realized this was a new opportunity for me to only take the things I needed. I started three weeks before school, and slowly packed everything. It made everything a lot easier, and gave me a lot more time to think about everything.

It feels good to be all ready to go…now I just have to say goodbye…

Finis. 3 years ago

All packed and ready to go…

I feel like I’m packing for summer camp. 11 days to go, but it still hasn’t hit me…

Does anyone else feel like this? While I “organize” I have to say to myself, “I am packing my life. I am packing my life.” It is surreal.
