I like to drink a nice cold boba drink whenever it is hot! I remember when I used to not like boba when I was a kid because they reminded me of eyeballs! Now I like the chewiness of it and it makes any drink extra good!

This is one of my favorite drinks- I’m really glad that it’s becoming more popular in the US.
Petersky suggested, tried the plain boba tea. good…next time I’ll have a flavor.
Rainbowshappen Hey, dude, where's our snow?
I had one from the Bobachine stand at the Westlake one evening. Blueberry flavor.
Those of you who describe the balls as being like Gummi Bears…yeah, I suppose so, I hadn’t quite thought of it like that. Interesting, though. Sort of thing I might try again but I’d have to be in the right mood.
My husband says it’s kind of like a drink and a snack in one.

because it’s always worth trying something new, but boba tea is not for me.
The texture strikes me as a “love it or hate it” thing, and I couldn’t even finish mine. I got an almond milk tea (usually my favorite flavor of anything) and was ok until I got to the little pearls. Wet gummy bears, argh!
Sat for a while, tasting and trying to see if this is an acquired taste, but it wasn’t the taste, it was the texture.
So, it’s official: no boba tea for me!
(But thanks for suggesting it, because I always love trying something new.)
it’s called thé aux perles in French. Unfortunately, the article doesn’t say where I can get some. I’ll have to check in asian supermarkets around here (I live in the smaller asian area in Paris; not Chinatown, but lots of shops and restaurants nonetheless).

I will have myself a Boba tea before Passover starts!
Just figured out where to get it… Tapioca Express. I’ll let you know how it goes, Petersky!
that I have had boba (or bubble) tea before! Ha! Goal accomplished…
It was worth it, I guess. Trying new things is good. Variety is the spice of life. I had it at this Vietnamese restaurant I used to always go to. (Spring rolls are definitely worth it too). ;)
Boba Tea: there were tons & tons of different flavors to choose from (even weird fruits that I had never even heard of) but there are little chewy tapioca balls in the drink. When I first tried it, I thought of gummi bears. It’s like drinking a shake with gummi bears in it.
joie de vivre is mellow
I’d like a jasmine milk boba tea right now, thank you very much!
