I think I’ve tried everything besides microdermabrasion: basic biore pore strips, facials (those damn things go away for a week), facial scrubs (not that helpful), glycolic face peel thingies, and using that scary blackhead tool that estheticians have. I’ve come to the (slightly depressing) conclusion that none of these things help that much – I will always have somewhat large pores. But this past month, I have started evaluating how much time I spend obsessing on blackheads, and it’s scary. Everytime I step out of the shower, I’m scrutinizing my face and staring at my nose. Or watching TV/doing something and running my finger against the side of my nose and thinking: Damn – it’s not perfectly smooth – I have blackheads again! My new goal is to not obsess so much. For everyone out there with this problem, I don’t know how serious it is, but I know that my “large blackheads” probably can’t be seen from a normal distance. So until someone discovers the holy grail to getting rid of the blackheads, I’ll stop breaking the bank over the next “miracle exfoliator/peel” and just follow the boring ol’ facial routine of wash-tone-moisturize. Good luck everyone!

I’m sick of spending 20mins at a time squeezing out blackheads! I’m also lazy about face washing. Maybe if I’m less lazy they’ll go away.
i’ve had ance for 14 years. i had since i was 8. i have finally found the secret. the secret is not to use any of those stupid products. no murad, no proactiv no speacial beads that due….who knows. the trick is to just use bar soap and buy a REAL exfoiliating cloth or loafa and scrub scrub scrub. i swear it works and i’ve saved so much money from not buying that stupid crap. trust me, it works.
my mom is going to order me proactive soon! yaaay
i’ll see how it works on clearing up everything
are virtually gone. No thanks to that face crap. For one week, I used another face wash, and it REALLY helped. I think changing products every two weeks or so really helps your skin adapt to different things.
are working okay. I’m not sure how effective they are, but my acne and blackheads seem to be disapearing (also partly from picking at them). I’ll keep you updated.
After experiancing some rude comments about my skin, a close friend bought me many acne and blackhead remover for my skin. I’m very excited, and I’ll be sure to tell you if it works!
I have many blackheads on the side of my nose, by my nostrils. I had reductions (basically someone sticking a needle in my nose) but they didn’t help. I use a serum for my face almost everyday, and wash my face daily, morning and night, and in the shower. My mom picked one off, and I used blackhead strips this morning. All they did was peel my skin and they were very hard to get off. Anyone have some advice?
