Clean out and organize my storage spaces.

I am going to clean out my file cabinets by the end of January 2009. My reward will be going to the Container Store in Rockville one Saturday in February for a little splurge on home organization items.

I am also going to reorganize my magazine back issues and reduce their number by at least half. This will be hard but so worthwhile. I want to accomplish this in February.

I need to clean out the garbage on this boring list…Besides, last fall I almost finished this and if it’s been sitting here for 2 years it must not be that important.

...I could have done something major with the $100 or so a month we’re spending on this. Probably bought all new versions of whatever we’ve got in there.

We nearly emptied one and made good progress in the other 2…
I am going to resign myself to keeping one slip for my Mardi Gras party decorations, my grandmother’s books and journals, my children’s goodies that they’ve produced through the years…and that sort of thing.

I put an ad in the newspaper to have a yard sale on Saturday. This is not the real me. But it sure does give me a deadline.

We’re on the way – new shed, shelves going in! Online auction houses beware!

Chris and I are doing this one together. We have finished the kitchen, dining room, and living room. We did some of our bedroom, and some of the spare bedroom/his office. The daunting tasks are the attic and the basement. Eep, and the shed. Maybe by the fall we’ll finish the whole thing. We have been giving things to the Baltimore Free Store, giving some things away on Craigslist, and selling certain more valuable items.
