teach my cat how to walk on a leash

Am trying to teach my cat to walk with a collar and leash but every time I put the harness thing on she just lies down! What can I do to stop her doing this? She’s quite lazy anyway, which is why I want to do this, but even when she’s in a more active mood, she still automatically just lies down when I put the harness on. Can anyone give me any advice??

So my cat lives indoors but loves to be outside. The only way for him to be outside and be safe would be if i had him on a leash. Well I finally did it! My cat loves being on the leach and going for walks outside. Now mind you its not like walking a dog, you go a little slower but it is still tons of fun!
