attend the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

I hope to go again this year.

I worked part time in the office of the North Campus Student Center (a restaurant) while I was in college. They always needed help during the LA Times Festival of Books so I decided to help out one year. I worked concessions with some other office employees (Emily Noguchi and Monica Lee, I think), so I didn’t have much time outside of that to explore the festival. There was a lot going on, probably too much to keep track of. I probably didn’t do much there other than pick up free posters and look at comic books for my brothers. One year, my supervisor got mad at me for promising to help out in the office and not showing up. That was definitely my bad.

It is this weekend (April 23-24). I went last year and it was great. My advice to you is to come early because parking maybe hard to find if you don’t.
