make $100 profit on ebay

made $175, profit. Plus, it was large and I made arrangements to meet halfway. The guy was super nice and paid me $100 for meeting him, so I made an extra $50(minus gas). Pretty good for one sale, but it’s about the only thing I’ve done on e-bay. Just having someone list a bunch of stuff for me right now, and have a profit split set up with him. Hopefully I can snag another $100 bucks from some old stuff, so I want to do it again(this time).

sold: book – $2.69 after paypal fees and shipping
sold: game – not sure because it hasn’t been paid for yet

Total ebay fees: $2.72

Which means, until I get the money for the second item, I have made 3 cents.

Why do I want to do this? Why do I bother? I listed three things this time; two didn’t sell and one has not been paid for yet and it’s been a week.

Blah.

I listed some stuff, mostly today. There’s a fee sale so I figured now was a good time. I don’t know how much more of the stuff I have will get listed by tonight though.

Baby steps, I suppose. I’m starting over on the amount since I have no idea how much I earned before. I’ve got some time off between semesters so I figure I should put it to good use and make some money while getting rid of some stuff.

I’m giving up on this for the time being, I don’t have the energy or interest in dealing with ebay at the moment.

Only 1 of the 5 things I listed sold but it sold for almost twice what the starting bid was and it was something that was originally free to me. So that’s good.

Arghh…

My auctions are not doing as well as I hoped and there’s only about 5 hours left on a couple of them. I reeeeeally hope there’s a last minute buyer since as it stands right now I’ll probably make just a few dollars once ebay’s and paypal’s fees are taken out. They’ve all gotten a really good amount of hits and views but only one even has a bid.

I currently have 5 items for sale because I was taking advantage of ebay’s listing fee sale.

Let’s hope they sell! I listed a variety of stuff: Craft supplies (scrapbooking and cross stitch), a financial book, a pretty jewelry box, and a collectible Barbie.

To be put towards my debt. I want to kill 2 birds with one stone – clutter & debt. I’ll include the 2 things I just sold in the total but not anything sold before that. Shipping cost and ebay & paypal fees won’t count towards the goals so it has to be the profit made once those fees are taken out.
