To bad Bob left sadness :( but it would still kick ass and to win a dinning room set or a 1994 Camry sweet deal! Ok I just want to play plinko instead of just at a casino slot machine

Bourg1a is going to breath in and out
My mom promised that when I was 18 we would go on the Price is Right. It never happened, but I would still love to go with her one day.
I was a contestant last year on TPIR. I was the second person called in the beginning of the show and the last person to make it up on stage to play a game. I lost my game. I made it to the Showcase and lost by only a couple thousand dollars (It was an overall crappy showcase anyways- 3 pieces of workout/gym equipment and a cruise). My 4 friends and I spent 22 hours in line. I had ticket #1 for our taping of the show. We met tons of nice people in line. We froze our butts off and didn’t sleep for over 2 days. It was all worth it! Bob was great, the rest of the staff/crew were great. It is a long and tiring process but everyone should do it once in their lives (even though Bob is no longer there.) Some words of advice to get into contestant’s row: When you are interviewed by the director guy, make sure you stand out by being extremely energetic. I jumped up and down, yelled, and gave my story about being obsessed with the show. They want energetic people so stand out! Make a shirt, too! (You only have about 10 seconds in the interview… Make it good!) The best part was at the end of the show, I got an autographed picture of Bob. (He doesn’t give out any other autographs…) ALSO! Beware of “winning” prizes! Anything you win you have to pay 37% of taxes on!!!! I won a patio swing to get up on stage.. it would have cost me almost $1,000 to keep it! Imagine what a car would cost to keep!!! But everyone should go to this show… A great experience!
We went to L.A. specifically to see Bob before he retired, had tickets for 3 days of tapings. Well missed out day one, when we got there the line was so long, when getting order of arrival tickets, I was number 401 in line, they gave out only 400. Problem solved by ‘urban camping’ the next 2 nights on the sidewalk – met come of the coolest people all there to see Bob. Well, as fate would have it, the trip was my idea and my dream but they called my Mom as a contestant for the third game. I was excited for her, but just a little jaded. Unfortunately, she never made it out of Contestant’s Row but she did get some nice prizes (Contestants not appearing on stage will receive…) delivered a few months later.
The whole experience was SO WORTH IT. After spending so much time in processing with everyone you really are as excited for them as you would be for yourself when they get called, play a game, and hopefully win. I had been anxious to see how Drew did when hee took over, but I think he is doing a fantastic job – I Tivo every episode (as always). I enjoyed the experience so much, and would love to see Drews interaction with the audience during commercials, that I am planning of going back for some more tapings during a week sometime in the spring ‘08 (I live in Atlanta) to see Drew do the show live. I was in Vegas a few moonths ago and there is a Price is right they do there too, at Bally’s. Todd Newton hosts it and does a good job. I, of course, went to that show too, but was not lucky enough to be a contestant. In Vegas they do not interview the audience to pick contestants like in L.A., it is based on quickly and correctly answering a multiple choice price question at your seat-based controller (they randomly choose from all who are fast enough and correct). I replied to this blog as “I want to do this” not “done this” as I have not actually been a contestant, just made it to the audience. My advice to any Price fan is to GET THERE AND DO THIS. It is truly an experience to remember.
since I was young, I’d wake up every morning to first watch Bozo the Clown and wait a little longer to watch The Price is Right with my Grandpa. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to be on The Price is Right…Bob is retiring soon and unfortunately I am so ridiculously broke right now that I can’t afford a trip to L.A….I can bitch and moan about it, but I choose not to…
SERIOUSLY…a LIFELONG DREAM.
Well, the closest thing I am gonna get to it is when I go to Vegas for my 21st. Rio has a Price is Right gameshow there…maybe I’ll be a contestant and spin the wheel.
Well, it’s not worth going to the show w/o Bob, but I got the game ‘DRINKO’ for Christmas. It’s like PLINKO, but with shot glasses and binge drinking. Yay!
MY PRICE WOULD BE “AAAA NNEEWWWW CCAAARRRRR” LOL SSOOOOOOOOO CCCCCMMMMMOOOOONNNNNNN DDDDOOOOWWWWWNNNNNNNN AND I WILL WHEN I FIND A RIDE OVER THERE LOL
