wear a bikini in public

i have NEVER worn a bikini in public. when i was younger, it was this weird fear i had of showing my stomach, even though i was very skinny. now that i’m older, it’s more of a self confidence and weight issue. last year i got close- i lost 20lbs then bought a bikini and got up the confidence to wear it to my gyms hot tub, but no one was even there. then shortly after, i was so burnt out on diet and excersise that i gained some weight back and never wore it after that one time. well, this year is the year… i hope.

I’m going to need lots of help with this one. I don’t think I want to wear on e to the neighborhood pool or anything but maybe in the backyard for starters. I don’t know what color to get to go along with my obviously red face as Im sure it will be the most embarassing thing I will ever do!!!

I’m 5’ 6” and weigh 125 pounds. I look pretty in a bikini, but I’m just so self consience!! My boyfriend’s taking me to Catalina Island soon and I want to get over my fear and wear a bikini!
