How to be punctual
How I did it: I wrote on my calendar the time I need to leave my house, as well as the time I need to be where I'm going. I bought a watch instead of relying on my cell phone for the time because it's not always next to me.
Lessons & tips: Use mapquest to see how long it's going to take to get where you are going, then add a little in case you make a wrong turn or have to stop for gas or whatever. Resist the urge to "do this one last thing" before you leave, even if you think you can still leave on time - you won't! Bring something to do while you wait, because just because you are punctual does not mean other will be!

Well actually I was five minutes later than I planned to be, because I thought I was supposed to be there 15 minutes early to do paperwork. I got there 10 minutes early instead and finished the paperwork on plenty of time. I will count that as being punctual, even though it’s iffy, because that is definitely a big improvement for me to be early at all. Before setting this goal, I would have been 10 minutes late.
I left 5 min later than I planned for Fox Lake Correctional Center today, and then I was texting and looking in my appointment book while driving so I missed a turn. Wound up being 5 or 10 minutes late to see my client.
HAVE TO STOP DOING OTHER THINGS WHILE DRIVING!
Was on time to class tonight because I kept looking at my watch and insisted on leaving at the right time even though I was tempted just to do “this one last thing.”
PROGRESS IS VERY GOOD. OVERALL A GOOD DAY. LEARNED A TRICK TO BE MORE PUNCTUAL, AND AM IMPROVING :)
I haven’t had anything to be on time for in a few days so I can’t judge whether I’d be punctual or not, but I think I would. I have decided it is important to me and have come up with ways of doing it. I even bought a watch so the time would be with me all the time instead of relying on my cellphone. I’m on it baby!
making sure to leave early no matter what is a big key for me – I write my “leave time” on my calendar whenever I write an appointment or meeting on it.
Came up with good ways of ensuring this
1. Write in my planner not only what time I need to be somewhere, but what time I need to LEAVE to get there.
2. Set an alarm on my phone to remind me of when to leave or when to do something.
3. Get directions in advance.
Be realistic about what time I can be somewhere
Be mindful of the time when it’s getting to be time to leave
Stop fooling myself into thinking I can just “do this one last thing before I go.”
Set an alarm for 5 minutes before I have to leave my house
Having written this as a goal today made me conscientious about the time twice when I was due somewhere and I was not late when normally I would have been.

Well, I’m chronically late wherever I go. lookashamedatthefloor
Although I have to say that it’s getting better. It’s usually worst with me going to university and now I’ve been punctual (or some times at least only 5 minutes late).
Yeah! So, I’m on my way! But there still is a lot of work to do. Especially necessary would be to calculate and plan my agenda more realistically. ‘Cause a lot of times, I don’t plan enough time inbetween activities or leave home at the time I should already be somewhere else…
Well, but I’m already getting better and realising the stated above will probably help me with achieving my goal of being punctual on a regularly basis.
It is never good to miss ANY of a college lecture. I make sure always to be punctual to those!
