go to a play

Tonight i was home, bored staring up at the ceiling when one of my housemates came home and randomly asked if i wanted to go to a play. Seemed like a good idea and off i went. It was called The Wishing Well and i quite enjoyed it! I’d forgotten how wonderful live theatre is.

It was a fully loaded pro performance of A Christmas Carol. I wanted to go again and again but had no money to do so. :(

Ooooh exciting! The Importance of Being Earnest is coming to Brisbane later this year! My housemates are keen to go and i am sure some of my friends will be as well! Sooooo going to see this. Hopefully however something might come up in between, but at least i know this goal will get done this year!

The local playhouse has cheap plays running and I always forget that this is an option when I’m bored. Or I drive by and see the dates of the next play and then I forget to mention them. I’ve only been a few times but it’s always fun to get a little dressed up, go out to eat, and see a play. Maybe this will remind me.

Saw the ballet The Sleeping Princess tonight, was so very good. The dancers were amazing, the things they can do.

I went to a lot of plays and operas when I was in school. The ones I enjoyed the most were the ones at the smaller venues. It was less serious and the actors always looked like they were having a lot of fun. The humor was mature and intellectual and it was very entertaining.

Hmmmmm I should start going to plays again…

Hmmmm Midsummer Nights Dream is coming this year to Brisbane. There really does not seem to be many plays on this year, so i may go and see this one.

I am going to see the Sleeping Princess in January, its a Ballet though… does that count as a play?

I have never been to the ballet, even though i did Ballet as a kid (doesnt everyone?). Really looking forward to it.
