ShadowchildeEstablished a Walking Habit!

Yes, its the end of the month and I have established a walking habit. I’m walking about a mile every other day. I’m slowly increasing it to more and more. Soon, it will be a mile a day and then a mile and a half.

I’ve also broken the 200 barrier and am still losing weight… so, this is all good news.

The best news though is that in less than a week I will be able to see my husband again. I miss him so much and I know his little girl, AefA, is counting the days until she can see him also.

ShadowchildeThe walking is coming along...

I’ve been going out for a walk, no matter how long or short it is, almost every evening.

Now, I’m going to start going out longer and farther. A lot of this walking will need to be on the weekend… Friday, Saturday and Sunday, when I don’t have my AefA around. I don’t seem to be able to take her on any long walks. She gets tired out and I get frustrated.

So… this weekend should be a good one.

I’m looking forward to adding more steps to my “Step-Diet” routine. This will help me burn more than I’m intaking and lose more weight. I have 33 days to get into better shape… then I see MaA and boy… I can’t wait.

ShadowchildeWalking schedule...

Now here is a kicker. My doctor seems to think that the only thing that will help a person lose weight is to NOT EAT. While this is a very good thing. And one that I’m still having some trouble with at present – since I only lost 1 pound in a week and a half. I believe that keeping within a calorie count… which my doctor has given to me as 1200 (now I have to do better at keeping my food diary), and I believe that if I increase my exercise level just a little, the weight will come off faster.

So… with this belief, I have started my walking schedule. I walked on Sunday… I walked today. I will walk again on Thursday and then a longer walk on Saturday when I don’t have a little one with me.

I found a work out walking schedule in a magazine that says to take Sunday off… well, for me, this isn’t really an option. I have to take something like Wednesday off… and make good use of my time on Saturday and Sunday to get more exercise in.

Anyway… I’m feeling pretty good. My blood pressure is down considerably… but like I said above… only 1 pound. I will just have to work harder.

ShadowchildeStarted Walking...

I don’t know how long I will be able to keep this up, being the middle of winter, but I went out for a walk while the weather is still decent.

We didn’t go too far, and I say we, because my little step-daughter came with me. She wants to go for walks with me, and this will help keep me on track.

But I also have to keep up drinking enough water and eating right. Then it will all come together and I will become more fit and healthy.

But its so hard making that first step.
