I am going about this completely backwards, and I know that, but the first thought I’ve put into my thesis is how I want to print it. I was handed a pile of other creative writing theses that look awful. Bound with coils and paper clips and generally bleagh.
So I’ve decided I’m going to have my copies printed on LuLu. Square paper, 8.5 by 8.5, and saddle-stitched. It’s not really that much more money than it would be to go to Kinko’s and have it spiral bound.
Now I just have to decide what I’m putting in it.

Got a mandate, mentor and a timetable for the seminars! So everything is ready for the thesis. If everything goes as planned I’ll graduate over ½ year before the scheduled time! Ye!

Submitted last Friday! Even though this would be a relatively smaller thesis than say… a PhD thesis (at my college, these are considered to be 300+ pages) I believe I’ve written a sufficient thesis to be published one day. A Conference paper perhaps? Now to wait for it to be marked…fingers crossed – 1st class Honours.

It has been done for a while, but I’ve been too busy to update. The grades are in, and it was an A.

... and sadly I’ve been working on it for so long that it can’t be anything less than perfect! Sadly, the perfect becomes the enemy of the good…

Submitted to my advisor and returned to me. The only things I need to change are slight formatting issues. Due on 4/27. Now to figure out how to get 66 pages of information into a 12 minute presentation by Thrusday night!

I will be done in a few days. Last week was intense; this week will not be so intense.

I’ve been at this thing for years. I don’t have a lot left to write, but it seems like an insurmountable wall. I’m plagued with feelings of self doubt and I guess I’m worried that it is not good enough. If I complete it, I might fail. Whereas, if I don’t complete it I might be able to convince myself that if I did complete I might have succeeded. Of course this is bollocks. Not completing equals failure.

All I want to do in life is complete my thesis. At this point I am still working on the Literature Review. Honestly, I have been a procrastinator my whole life and I have always managed to squeek by at the last minute. As of today I will promise to write at least two hours a day. My goal for today is to complete my Lit Review and send it off to my advisor.
