♥ TiffanyPedro.

He was given to me by my aunt in 2004, it was completely unintentional because she had actually planned to keep him. However, she had a small Poodle at the time and they didn’t get along too well. So, I’m glad things happened the way they did because I know for a fact he’s the best gift I’ve ever recieved. :] 3 years ago

ChivaNever meant to

I have always preferred big dogs, and all the Chihuahuas I had ever encountered were nervous little barkers. My husband surprised me with Ruby and life has never been the same. She is completely devoted to both of us and has us both wrapped around her paw. So full of personality. She is a little standoffish with strangers at first, but she comes around and they all end up in love with her too. Totally spoiled. 3 years ago

I really want a dog I can just spoil rotten and love forever. Some day I plan to do this! 3 years ago

Karlita_BanditaSadly Closer To This Goal

We had to put my husband’s 13 year old mutt, Gizmo, down shortly before Christmas. She was VERY sick and we couldn’t afford the $300 in tests or $1500 for exploratory surgery which may or may not have told us what was wrong with her. I’d never held any of my dogs while they were put down, since I cry like a little girl when any animal dies, but since my husband couldn’t be there I “man-ed up” and did it.

My husband has gotten some comfort from my mom’s chihuahua, Lola, since she worships the ground he walks on. :) Mom even offered to give Lola to us since my husband loves her, but our 18 year old cat isn’t too keen on the idea. So for now I’m without my Chi but the status quo is still good for me. 4 years ago

BabiKakes09I want a Chi!

Too bad my mom can’t stand dogs. Idk, why. I’ve wanted one since I was about 5 yrs. old. So when I get my own place, I will make sure I get one! 4 years ago

katierose09I love my puppy

I have a white chihuahua named Holly. She is adorable!! We got her on Christmas Eve about 6.5 years ago. She was 6months old when we got her. She is now about 5lbs and just turned 7 a few weeks ago. She isn’t your typical yappy annoying chihuahua. She barks when people are at our door, and tries to protect me when people come near me. It’s so cute. 4 years ago

KittyMy Beloved Biscuit Eater

This morning my sister called.

My dogs are all in pittsburgh with her while she’s doing a play.
Sisko Nabisco is my baby even though he’s the oldest of the three.

He loves me more than any other animal I’ve owned.

He’s got sooo many medical problems. The fuck heads who had him before me neglected him.
I haven’t been able to afford the amount of surgery he needs (roughly $5500) Feel very guilty, but it has been in my plans. So much more than that has already been spent in the past 2 or 3 yrs.

And no, I don’t use credit cards.

My sister told me that this morning he was shitting and pissing and coughing up blood and that he was really lethargic.

She took him to the vet. He’s still there. My poor little, precious pooper dooper. He must be so scared. And he must feel awful.

They are going to run tests on him. But what if they tell me I have to put him to sleep?

I really can’t bear this.

(They all chose their spots in this photo. He made sure that he got the lap spot.) 4 years ago

CmelkaMy chihuahua

I have my chihuahua named Jopo 4 years now. He’s my biggest love this white-black doggy guy. He has lots of crazy thoughts like get my quilt down from my legs to wake me up or sit down to my book exactly to the places that I’m just reading…

Getting this little dog has to be a big decision. Because chihuahuas are little BIG personalities. It isn’t easy to let them obey orders. They are still trying to do what they want and what is in their own interest, not in yours. My Jopo is exactly like this. But he is the best friend and protector.

The photo is a bit older. He was about 1 and half year old I think… 5 years ago

SallyAMstopped before it started...

I talked to a breeder about getting a little black chi that she had for sale – but she turned us down because we both work so the dog would be by itself during the day and she felt that would be cruel. Does anyone know how chis cope with being left by themselves for periods of time? I’m sad because I want one so much and he was soooooooooooooooo adorable!

I bought chihuahuas for dummies so that I’m educated about the big step. 5 years ago

mandy_j88My Chihuahua

I got a little Chihuahua for Christmas. His name is Chico (but I call him Chiwa). He is already full grown (So I don’t have to deal with potty training). He is a real good little guy. He is really protective of me if another dog or person looks at me the wrong way. He’s a hoot!

Anyway, you should probably read about the Chihuahua breed before getting one. Getting a Chihuahua on an impulse is probably the worst thing you could do. It’s definitely worth doing.

Well my friend missed her chihuahua too much so we had to give him back . Not sure if I’m going to try this one again 5 years ago

iluvmy4blessingsTomorrow!!!

My best friend has several dogs one of them being a little chihuahua named Taco. She adopted him from a shelter as he had been in a neglectful home. She’s had him a year and I just love him. He’s kind of funny and a little anti social to most people but he seems to like me. He makes wheezing noises a lot (asthma?) but he is very sweet when he feels safe. Since she has so many dogs she has offered Taco to me if I’d like to try it out. I have in the past owned very large dogs but I always wanted a little dog. My husband (now ex) never allowed small dogs. He called them ankle biters and he HATED them. Of course that makes me want one now all the more!!! lol….Tomorrow I am going to bring him home with me. I already bought him some fancy dog food and plan to spoil him rotten!!!! 5 years ago

well…. technically I dont own her but I am dogsitting for my grandmother while she is on vacation but I still like her. Her names Poppy and she is a very sweet dog. However my little brother scares her so it wouldnt be a good idea to bring her to my house. However my Grandmother is talking about giving her away. Right now I wouldnt be able to take her because my Dad is anti pets but in two years (I’ll be 18 then) I could take her if I could find an apartment that allows dogs when I move out I will take her if my Grandmother still wants to give her away. anyway she is a lot of fun to play with, she loves being petted, taken for walks, and loves to have someone throw a toy for her. she barks when someone comes to the front door but I know a lot of dogs that do that. 5 years ago

voodooariaMr. Peepers

I got my chihuahua 7 months ago. He is a flying ball of furr. I was not prepared for how difficult it would be to own a dog, I only have cats. It took a while to get used to getting up at 6am and taking the dog out, but now it is great. He is very sweet, protective, and smart. I would never consider another dog breed. 5 years ago

bkrazyI love my little man!!

His name is Ralph Lauren Born Aug 3, 2006!!! Very lovable!! Loves to play. Hes nothing like any of the bad things I’ve heard about chihuahuas. I’ll get tons more when I buy a house! 5 years ago

Dalya AbiyahGingah-ness

I got my Chihuahua Ginger about 5 years ago, her birthday is this week sometime, I think. She’s annoying and has bad breath! Hehe.. but seriously, she’s sweet and I love her to death. They are not really kid-friendly dogs, I would not recommend them for families with small kids but for everyone else I think you should definitely get one! 5 years ago

Darkangel89Worth It!

A chihuahua is totally worth getting. There small, adorable, cute, the doggy works. My family and I have 3 dogs, a long haired chihuahua, a mini-foxi and mini-foxi cross with a chihuahua and they are the cutest things ever. So yeh go get yourself one and then you’ll see just how wonderful they are :) Thanks for reading :D 5 years ago
