Dear Big bros, n’sisses. I have lots of time to help share w a child at this point. I am very good with children (I have a healing touch.
) I ‘ve babysat a million X’s, and feel very good about mentoring kids. I live In Gisons,B.C.canada,I am exmarried (no children). I would love working w the youth. I am interested in Native, african americans and anyone who needs support. I think it would be a fabulous experience !!! 2 years ago

the application and waiting process took so long that by the time they called me about a possible match, nearly a year has passed and circumstances have changed. i work 2 jobs, have a boyfriend i love and want to spend lots of time with, not to mention family obligations. so, this is going to be put on hiatus right now… 4 years ago

tonight. i’m excited. i hope i will find out when i will be matched with a little sister tonight. i know that they finally got my background check done & sent out forms for my referrals. i’m very excited to have a little sis soon! (i hope she’s excited to meet me too!) 5 years ago

and will attend a training session in a couple of weeks. the whole application process and background checks/etc take a while, so probably will be placed with a child in 6-8weeks.

it’s really cool that they figure what kind of child you’d work best with and really try to find a great match. 5 years ago

i filled out the online ‘more info’ application for the local office (it’s only like 5 blocks from my house…) and someone should contact me in the next few days. Hopefully they can give me more info and i can see if i’m suited for the program. 5 years ago

i think i would make a great mentor for some young person. i have a lot of interests, i’m smart, independent and i think i could be an incredible, positive influence on a child/teen. 5 years ago
