sometimes i feel like the bar is set so high to be a “good” Baha’i that ill never meet it
Harijan Romantic Self-Knowing Believer
1. pray more
2. rearrange my life to fit in the obly’s and my 95’s daily
3. read the texts more often
4. worry about changing myself more than about changing others
5. put the important things in life first
6. keep in touch with my baha’i family
7. celebrate life through virtue and vivacity
8. sing and dance like i used to…. and get the world to do it too
9. pray for strength, guidance and peace for the people who hurt me and others. do not judge them. or blame anyone. not even myself.
10. bring a variety of people into my life
11. broaden my understanding of other religions
12. become a little more active in my community
13. find the light in the darkest darknesses…. i tend to do this, sometimes you have to allow yourself to see the darkness first before searching for the light. but i should always find it in the end, no matter what.
14. respect and accept everyone. everyone is the way they are for a reason. sometimes we only make choices based on what we feel are our only options.
15. bring everything into my life with the greatest respect and moderation.
16. don’t aim to be better than anyone. not even myself. just aim as high as my limited humanity allows for that day. but always reach.
17. take care of myself
18. help others to the best of my ability. we can’t help everyone all the time… we must put on our oxygen masks first before we put on everyone else’s… there is a moral in every story… even in airplane safety manuals :P
