It's all done! 2 years ago

I ended up designing my wedding album on Shutterfly.com instead of just putting my loose pictures in albums. It was actually a lot of fun, and the album turned out really great! One of the best parts is I could order more copies online to give to my family without any hassle.

    Finally Done! 3 years ago

I feel so relieved that I have a giant Proex box full of my wedding prints! I may have to go back to get a few more enlargements for family members but that is in no way as daunting as going through the DVD of pics and figuring who wants which pic. A huge reason I put this off for so long was because my photographer told me I had to convert my files to a certain color profile and size them down to the print size and send them to a small specialty processing center that charges 50 cents per print. I called around and found that Proex/Wolf/Ritz uses the same technology that the specialty shop uses so your prints come out like a real C-41 print and not an inkjet print. I bought a pre-paid print card which brought the cost down to 19 cents a print. So, I went through the pics the day before our first anniversary and thought I would get it all done and go to Proex before they closed. I didn’t quite make it that far, but it worked out just fine cuz my husband and I went to Proex together on our anniversary and ordered all of the prints. That was awesome. I picked up an album that was way too expensive at Paper Source on Monday so now I just have to go through and create me album. This is something I am not as concerned about becuase I think I can do it in my free time and it’s not something that other family members care about. They just want their prints which I can now send to everyone soon. Maybe I should add “send wedding prints to family members” to my list! Hopefully I can just do it next weekend and it won’t be such a huge deal. Gosh, it’s crazy how many things you have to deal with just from getting married, with the name changes and the mail forwarding and all of that stuff. I am glad to say that this is really one of the last big deal pain-in-the-ass things I have to do for our wedding. We were so happy on our anniversary just to not have so many things to plan and think about like we did last year for the wedding. Yay for wedddings and tying up loose ends!

I sent the pic to the FIL, now I just have to sort out my pics.

I don't feel like it... 3 years ago

We have all the pictures right there on the CD from over a year ago, and I just cannot get motivated to do this. I am actually considering hiring someone to do this for me and design my wedding scrapbook and photo album. The thought of going through about 2,000 pictures to find the ones that I want in our album is really sickening to me. Especially since they’re all on the CD and I don’t have hard copies of any of them. Now I have to go through and decide which ones I want to get prints of…this sounds like no fun whatsoever. Maybe I will pay someone to do it for me…. :)

    The Goal 3 years ago

I need to email my FIL the pic my MIL wants, and then choose the pics I want printed for me.

    Too Hard... 3 years ago

For as exciting of a time this was in my life, and for as happy I am to be married and to have had SUCH a beautiful and fun wedding, getting the photos printed seems so boring and hard. I still have to do them though, I know this. Not denying it anymore is half of the battle. I will do it, and I will do it soon. Maybe the second week in August.

The New Tradition 3 years ago

I guess it’s pretty common these days for newlyweds to let the creation of their wedding album linger for more than a year. We had all of our photos taken digitally and were given a proof book of all of the photos so we could choose which ones we want printed. For some reason, Isaac and I just haven’t been able to do this together. I don’t know what it is, but it is hard to go back and re-live such a great day through photos. I just like remembering it exactly as it was and feel that the photos are something extra for when I am old and want to go back. Our families, on the other hand, are freaking out about it, and say they are so embarassed not to have any photos to show off. It is so off my radar, I haven’t even thought to add it to my 43 Things until now, nearly 8 months after the wedding. So, my new goal is for us to go through the photos and get them to the printer before Isaac’s grandma gets back in town from her winters in AZ. We’ve got about three weeks if we want to be safe. What sucks is that it doesn’t even stop there. I can just hear everyone asking why the photos aren’t in the awesome album we recieved as a gift. That might just have to wait, we’ll see.
