it’s not fiction, but one of my blog entries will be included in a non-fiction “anthology”. if nothing else, the experience helps me get better acquainted with publishing.

Dissidence hates that aching feeling...
A year or so ago, a story I wrote won a local writing competition but the story was awful; even I know that. The story that came second was about psychics and the writer of it couldn’t spell psychic, so I don’t put much stock by that competition. It was published in an anthology of all the regional winners, but the story is so bad that I’ve never shown anyone.
I would love to get a story published and feel proud of it. That’s all.
I absolutely love to write. It’s one of the few things I think I can do decently. I’m still young so it will be a long time until I even get a chance to get something published. It would just be so amazing to see my story and name in a magazine. Hopefully one day it will happen.
I always do this: I start writing a piece of short fiction, and then I let it sit until it’s not relevant anymore and move on. This must stop happening.
