One of the two books i’ve made is called’ the oranges’ with photos and ad lib about the cities surrounding me where i grew up. here is a sample.

i have three or four that i’m working on…
maybe that’s what i need to do with my frustrated baby energy
i’m thinkin about pickin up my pen again…it’s truly TRULY been a long while for me…
most of what i have is really old stuff…
but…yeah
maybe
I want to publish my books through a major publisher instead of self-publishing sites.
I want to keep writing and sharing.
It’s difficult without major label, but hey, I’ll get there.
Too broke. Still working on the manuscripts, anyway. Finished my “demon cat” short story rewrite. Need to go to Kinko’s and print it out, because my printer is busted, then send it around…
Conference this summer in LA – my best friend called me up and said “let’s go!” and I understood why God had me take a portfolio class!! Just way too exciting! It’s just too weird that I decided, after I graduate this June with my bachelors i English, to take a year off to publish before I go for my MFA in Creative Writing, and everything seems to be falling into place for it to happen.

I’m working on my last quarter’s worth of work for my bachelors, and I’m taking a class called “Senior Seminar”. It’s all about producing and refining one’s work to be included in a portfolio. We have to make up a resume and a job application, which, when I began the class, sounded like a waste of time as my intention is to freelance.
Then I realized that if I want to write articles, or for most of the work I’m likely to do as a beginner, it’s actually pretty applicable.
My first contract! Just sold one of my short stories to “Cats and Kittens” magazine. I know, it ain’t “Time” or anything, but I broke the barrier! Doing a much-needed rewrite on another, longer story for Fantasy & Science Fiction magazine…
