What I Can Do

I’m from SD so I get to vote on measure 11 (ending abortion as a form of birth control) which will prevent 97% of SD abortions! It is a step in the right direction. I’m also volunteering at the campaign office making phone calls, which is pretty scary, but so far no one has sworn at me this year.

March for Life
I went to the March for Life again this year (Jan. 22).
It was a really cool experience, as always. It really gives me hope that so many people turn up for this event from across the country (it’s the largest march in the United States).
There was a group of women there who held signs that said, “I regret my abortion.” I thought that was really, really brave of them. I think it also has a greater impact coming from women who’ve actually been through an abortion, rather than other people who haven’t actually been in that situation. I think alot of people think that everyone who is pro-life is a right-wing, evangelical, sexist, white man. This is the farthest thing from the truth. Of course, people like this do exist, but there are also many, many people who are pro-life because they feel compassion for both the unborn and the women that carry them.

is tomorrow!!
I’m wearing my shirt, and so are a bunch of other kids from the pro life club at my school.
Hopefully it’ll raise general awareness and prompt discussion on the subject.
