buddha3 boring day. hoping to get some more things done on this list!!

i did it 3 months ago

I went to a book store one day and just found myself in the self help section. i picked up a book called Feel the fear and do it anyway. It was really interesting so i bought it. It was a good book for a starter. I have read and bought many self help books since then.

    Chapter 2 2 years ago

Ths last few weeks have been hectic, but I dug out the book and am on chapter 2. This is having a positive effect – its alot of common sense, and this will not be a one read – took 2 nights job, this is moreof a manual that I can se myself reffering to for months. Need to remember to refer to it and not leave it on the shelf like last time!

Positive Step forward 2 years ago

I bought a book called ” The seven habits of highly effective people ”. I only read 2 chapters – but in those 2 chapters was enough info to make me more self aware – and be better placed to give advice to others. I think about some of those first exercises regulalrly, so I know finishing the book will be beneficial.

i bought one years ago and never finished it… it’s a great book but for some reason i stopped… maybe i tried to consume too much of it at once and i need to read bit by bit… i’d like to pick it up again and finish this time around and actually do the exercises inside it also.

I read ‘The art of happiness’ by Dalai Lama. It’s worth reading. It helped me learn to shift perspectives more easily therefore protecting myself and understanding others. Another good book is ‘Emotional Alchemy’- by Tara Bennet Goleman. Nice bedtime read. It’s a mixture of buddhism and cognitive psychology , and it definately helped me put names on some of those feelings and work with them
