How to learn to speak with a British accent
How I did it: I learned to speak english by myself (I'm native in spanish), so one day I thought: "Hey, why don't you try an accent?", and so I did.
I like to think I have a natural talent to learn anything related to linguistic, so I tried, and even if sometimes it becomes a little fake, I am pretty happy with what I've acomplished! :)
Lessons & tips: I watched a lot of videos in YouTube, and tried to pick the accent from them. Also, and this is something it works for almost any goal, I kept trying and didn't give up when I fist began and my accent remind me of a very drunk french trying to speak english. Yes, that bad
Resources: Mostly videos and TV shows, like the BBC. I liked the BBC a lot, because it's the news: they speak slow and fluid. It was easier for me to understand, so it was easier to imitate.

I am in need of learning the British accent, so I need some help, please?

There was this very proper sounding gentleman on the train last week. He spoke the Queen’s english. I adored his accent. Usually I like to close my eyes on the train and I don’t like hearing people jabbering on their cell phones – or even to each other. (Please, for God’s sake, people, I need my nap!)
But this British fellow, his accent was so…mellifluous. Which is just a fancy way of saying “pleasing to the ear.” He was ranting about the economy and job losses, but for all I cared, he sounded like he was whispering poetry to me.
So there you go, even a rant with a British accent isn’t really a rant at all. I love the Brits!
I really really want to learn a british accent for my acting, for fun, and just to fool my new school.
this will be very helpfull to me in the future

I love all things British (Monty Python, Jason Statham, Princess Diana, English cottages, the red phone booths, palaces, Tudor-style homes, how they say “love” all the time, as in “hello love”).
Must watch more British movies so I can really soak in the accent and pick up some of the idioms. Oh and I like how they spell words differently from American english, such as “humour”.
just curious though and i`m a bit wanted to learn the easiest way to have a british accent…
