be a chef

I don’t really care about being the best or having my own restaurant or anything, but it would be really fun to try my hand at chef-ery, even if it were just a stint, preferably in an international setting … like India … or Eastern Europe.

Working on this now!! I am in enrolled in culinary school and start in July. will be there for almost two years and will graduate with my associates degree. I can’t wait. Hopefully this will lead to opening my own restaurant!!!

I would like to learn cooking skills to be able to make and improvise unusual dishes for the future. I won’t be a restaurant chef but have enough knowledge to prepare a variety of things.

15 months ago I had my first kid and it made me think,What is she going to think about me when she grows up? The answer is not much if im not doing much with my life now.I have always liked to cook but the one thing slowing me down is lack of education.I dont have a high school diploma or a G.E.D.I want her to be proud of me as well as me being proud of myself and I want to give her a life I never had

To became a chef hav to be creative. Hop u guys have tat . How to became creative . When ur hungry try to cook stuff ur self and start with something simple like fried rice.

I really want to be a Chef because my dad is one and is a really good one! I love watching cooking shows, where they mix food and stuff. I Want to become a Chef!

Becoming a chef is my biggest dream. Whether or not I make money off of it, who cares? I suppose it would be nice, but it’s my passion above all. I’m 14, so most people think I’ll change my mind in a few weeks. But hey, they thought that the first time that I said it too, and I was only five or six!

Anyway, you can call me Holly, and I just wanted to introduce myself to other people who care about some of the same things I do.

I’m going to culinary school and have been cooking for about six years. I’m addicted to cookbooks and spend way too much time at barnes and noble. I get inspiration from Thomas Keller and Ferran Adria. I’m contimplating buy one of the El Bulli cookbooks, but they are very expensive. I’m going to the French Laundry in Sept and supposed to see Keller’s renovated house, though we’ll see. My dream senario would be to make a good inpretion on the French Laundry staff and be offered a position or stage when I graduate. From there the sky’s the limit, Spain, France, New York. Ive got it figured out, in my head anyways.

I feel comfortable around lots of common ingredients and can whip up something yummy most of the time. I need to be more knowledgeable about other culture’s ingredients, cooking techniques, and philophies.
