I was working around religiously for about 8-10 months. Sometimes it become an obsession and that I would work-out 3 times a day. People that I worked with called me crazy and that I’m pretty much the only person they know that worked out that much.
It’s been almost a year since then. I really worked out half-assed since then not really being consistent.
I worked out for a month then got really sick and had to take a 1 month break for my lungs to fully heal. 2 workout days has passed after that break and I feel like I could really be in great shape in a few month.
I sincerely need to create short and long term goals for myself. I admit “Get physically fit” is kinda vague.

I am getting there in the physical fitness arena. But, I didn’t want to mark this off until I was fully at my physical fitness peak. I’m glad to finally be getting there though.

I’ve been working out 6 days a week now, since the beginning of February. Doing the Couch to 5k program 3 days a week, resistance 2 days a week and pilates and other cardio on non-run days.
I know I’ll be physically fit before I have a ‘body that stops traffic without jumping in front of it’ but I also know that it will take more than the C25k program to get me there.
I’m working on it though!

I am jusy medium size right now, I dont want to lose any weight, but I would love to gain some muscle. I want to be stronger. I want to feel like I have the power to succeed, at least in something.

So I finished my 5K in 34:24, not bad for a “non” runner. I have another one to complete at the end of this month. My goal is to finish it under 30:00 mins…...wish me luck

I work at my computer….all the time. And I have a slow metabolism.
If I eat like regular people, I will be 300 pounds by the time I’m 40. Therefore, in order to control weight gain (and eliminate kidney stone attacks), I went vegetarian a year and a half ago. Kidney problems….gone. Two months ago I went nearly vegan (I eat honey, and guacamole dip with whey protein, and Subway’s southwest sauce on my veggie sandwiches). This month…I am going to cut out soda completely. Mountain Dew and Coke Zero are very addicting…but as I am becoming healthier, they are giving me acid reflux. that will help curb the urge to splurge. Then, I will start adding more activity to my daily routine of..nothing. I used to bike 11 miles to and from work, but now home is work and that has unfortunately been eliminated.
it’s slow going…but this is a permanent life change. it’s the only way it’s going to work. I have lost 6 pounds as of this morning from my all-time high.

Started taking pilates at the Yoga Loft in Bethlehem, PA, to help work on this goal.

I have decided to participate in a 5k. I was planning on doing it in February but my feet have really been bothering me. I bought some new running shoes and ran my first mile without stopping….....wooooohoooo!!!

I’ve been going to the gym regularly for a few months now. Fortunately I’ve been an athletic person for a long time. Just a few years ago I dropped almost thirty pounds (and never put more than ten of it back on) and I got pretty toned.
After getting soft and kinda pudgy for the last year or two, I’ve been able to get pretty significant results in a short time. I feel healthier and more energetic and this has also helped me to quit smoking AND to fight depression.

I used to be really fit before I got fibromyalgia. Now I hope to cure my fibromyalgia, and start exercising again.
