get all this drama with my foot sorted out

Well the drama is officially over….I had my final xray and specialist appointment today! It’s not fully healed, but it’s healing well and you can see the new bone happily growing on the xray. I AM SO RELIEVED. I always get tense about medical stuff. So no running or jumping around for another month – but everything is fine! Hooray!

I’m SO CLOSE to being able to cross this goal off the list! I’ve been in touch with Workcover this week and that side of it is going smoothly. Next week I have my final xray and specialist appointment. I SERIOUSLY CAN’T WAIT to have this over….....it feels like it’s been going on forever!

....that all the forms have been submitted to the work cover people, now I’m just waiting to hear if it’s been approved. My foot has improved so much this week – I can’t wait for it to be back to normal at last!

....work is trying to avoid having to go through work cover because they’ve already paid me for the shifts I couldn’t work. However, tonite I let them know that it needed processing so I can get my medical costs back. I really hope this doesn’t become any more complicated, but it should be okay.

Well the good news is that I don’t have to get plaster! Yay! I saw the specialist yesterday and he was so lovely. It all seems okay, I just have to be good and let it heal. No running for another couple of months, xrays in 4 weeks, a follow up appointment and I should be back to normal.

Until then, I say what better excuse to take it easy and get cups of tea made for me :)

My foots hurts.
I’m sick of the boot thing.
I’m over cleaning the house already.
I’m having an ‘I’m so fat’ day.
I want to go running and I can’t.
I’m tired of thinking about money.
And I’m cranky.

I’ve just spent the last 6 hours organising stuff for my stupid broken foot! Not fun at all. So I had to get this weird boot brace thingy that looks like a giant ski boot…..very sexy indeed. And I had to have more xrays and organise a specialist appointment. Apparently I’ve broken it in a place that’s really difficult to break. Oh well, I’m inventive I guess :) Now there’s heaps of workcover stuff to sort out…..I just wish it was over already.
