Many teenagers look for old motorbike like this and restore them by putting a new engine, painting a bright color and add more accessories. They like to ride it around town or show off among their friends. They even have a club for this kind of bike, like vespa or chopper. It is an old classic motorbike so it doesn’t need a register. You can ride around town without being caught by a police.

This morning, my mom, my aunt, my sister, her hubby and I joined the big donation event held at the school situated in front of my shop. They performed a religious ceremony that we chanted and prayed together and we offered food to the monks afterwards. There were 129 monks attending the event. All the foods are dry and canned. After the donation, the foods will be sent to the schools and soldiers working in the 3 southern-bordered provinces. And the prayers are for the soldiers, schools, teachers, students and the villagers living in those area to be safe from the daily unrest situation there..

Our ancesters wore this kind of outfit more than 100 years ago, both children and adults. It was their usual outfit that they wore when staying home.
Nowsaday, most of the children wear it again for speacial occasions like Songkran day (Thai New Year), when attaining ordaination day, or going to temple to perform religious ceremonies etc..

Yesterday was my sister’s birthday and picked this day to perform home welcoming ceremony. We’ve moved here for nearly a year now but haven’t done such things. In Thailand, when you move to a new house, you have to perform religious ceremony by bring monks into the house to pray for your new house and for you to live peacefully and happily.
So, yesterday we invited 5 monks to the house to pray and after the ceremony we offered food to them. We also invites relatives to join the ceremony and have lunch together..
