...when my devotion emails skip a day. i use the devotion emails from the purpose driven life website. they are really good devotions, but sometimes they don’t send them everyday. usually they’re in my inbox first thing in the morning, which makes it easy to remember to do them first thing. i just like reading devotions because it’s always nice hearing someone else’s point of view and a lot of times they have a lot of relevance to what i’ll be going through that day.
I went to a site, fhp.com, and started to do the “Be still and know” techniueq and it has helped me to see just how self centerd I am. I found it hard to pray when I got a bunch of resentments and ego stuff going on, let alone help some one else.
I am reading God Came Near & No wonder they Call him the Savior chapters daily as a devotion, along with my bible, and some journaling. I really like the calming effect it has on me.
I’ve done devotions and it really puts me in a better mood and makes me think about stuff.
I purchased three devotion books by Ron Luce recently and hope to make time to work through them.

however I realise that devotions are not 100% necessary every day in order to feel close to GOD and to grow in relationship with him.
I believe in living by the spirit and I want to make sure I connect with GOD every day (no matter what form that takes) and to feel his presence with me (not just in a devotional time).
I’m still learning…........

Well, I’ve been doing my devotions almost every night now for weeks, and I don’t have any problems remembering to do it! Most nights I even look forward to it, with the exception of a few times when I’ve been really tired. I’ve been having a Bible reading time with my daughter every night too, with the exception of one night a week, and we’ve incorporated a prayer time. I feel really good about this. Eventually I’d like to move on to a morning devotion also, and a prayer time.

Well, it’s no problem whatsoever! I love doing my devotions, I’m always in the mood to do them, and I’ve been gladly doing them everyday. I think this is something I do regularly without a problem. :)

Well, I’m still having no problem doing my devotions daily. I think this is becomming a habit now! Good! Soon, I can say I did this and it’s worth doing! And I enjoy doing my devotions with Christ because of the love I have in my heart for Him. :)
