eMJerk jumps and jives.
Upon moving into my new place, I went grocery shopping, and aside from yogurt, milk, and cheese, everything I bought was vegan. I’ve had some really nice veggie/humus wraps. I think tomorrow I’ll do a tofu stir fry. Mmm!

I don’t know that I could ever be a full-time vegan, because I love milk and cheese too much; I don’t even know if I could be a vegetarian, haha. I never crave meat, I think I just eat it out of habit. And my personal belief is that everything should be taken in moderation. Physiologically, I believe humans are designed to be omnivores, but that meat was intended to be a rarity – someone had to go out and kill something, rather than drive two blocks and pay a buck for a double cheeseburger. In short, I’m fine with remaining omnivorous. I do admire vegans though, and I love vegan food.
1. Hummus is probably my favorite thing in the world lately – and vegan!
2. A locally-owned Chinese place near here makes the best General Tsao’s Tofu I have yet to encounter.
3. There is a tea house about five minutes from my home that specializes in vegan cuisine – I’ve only been there once and had a curry veggie wrap that was to die for.
Go Veg!
I’m cutting down on a lot of cheeses. I love yogurt so much though. :( I’m also trying to make more of my own foods- ginger ale and sourdough bread. My first attempt at bread was… ugly, but not inedible.
