get a new style

I think I might have achieved this. I really like my style now. It’s not modern or anything, but it’s me! and it’s simple… I think this one is a wrap.

Ok, so a year or so ago I dyed my hair with a temporary hair dye (black) and figured it would fade out before my brown hair grew back in. It never did fade. SO, I had half black, half brown hair. My roots were down to my ears. I had to do something about it. I wasn’t about to let it continue, but I knew the “temporary” hair color was going to make the same thing happen again with my roots.

I decided to dye the whole thing dark chestnut brown so my roots wouldn’t be so dark and the black would have a chestnut sheen and give some coherence to my hair.

It’s not great, but it’s a compromise. My hair is all over dark now.

I bought a permanent hair dye last night. I am going to dye it tonight. I am kinda scaredy. I don’t like permanent dye because it means forced upkeep in the future. HOWEVER, when I use the temporary dye, it never comes out of my hair and I end up with roots anyway, so I thought, let’s do this.

I am getting a little frustrated because I shared this goal with my boyfriend and he is completely aggravating me by expecting this to happen overnight. He’s (not surprising) telling me what to do. I have donated about a third of my clothing and even spent the money to get my eyebrows done (I don’t have the money and I never spend money on me, so this is a big deal). And, yet, he is pointing out that I need to do something with my hair. I told him ONE STEP AT A TIME but he’s still mentioning it daily. “You need to get a new cut”. It’s not the cut, it’s that I have 3 children, a full time job and 2 hours of commute time. “Well, have them give you an easy to style cut”. Ok, dipsh!t, that’s what I tell them EVERYTIME I GO. The issue is that I have three other people’s schedules to keep and it leaves no time for my hair. I am working on it, LEAVE ME ALONE! It’s all I can do not to ask him if he’s stepped on a scale lately and/or noticed that his chest is bigger than mine. I am getting angry and defensive. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I understand encouragement but this borders on beratement.

I went to the supermarket and left with 9 new items of clothing.
A bra, a pair of teights, 4 long sleeved t-shirts, a short sleeved t-shirt, a ‘party’ t-shirt, and a cardigan. next project is to clear some of closet of the old garments.

I ordered three pairs of jeans from the only maker I have found that fits me. I have decided to streamline my style as opposed to getting a new one. Go with the things that work for me and get rid of the iffy stuff.

my family-in-law did exactly like I expected. I recieved to grey T-shirts, A funny-coloured turtle-neck and a black skirt. I love all of it.

so I got 1150 DKK as a present from 4 different people so I could buy some new cloths. I bought a new BH, a pair of tights, 4 long sleeved t-shirts, 1 regular t-shirt, 1 party-t-shirt and 1 cardigan. Total expenses 769,80 DKK I got the T-shirts for a fourth of the regular price, so I got a lot of cloths for not that much money..

There is one small problem, or obstacle.. I have absolutely no money for cloths. so i relie on other people giving me the kind of cloths I want to start wearing for chistmas. My boyfriend and his family did a great job at my birthday, giving me a georgeous dress (I’m a dress/skirt girl) a pretty t-shirt, a scarf and a long knitted cardigan. Maybe they opt for clohts again now it’s christmas?! I sure hope so…

I made my mum cut my hair a week ago and i love it. I’ve had really long hair and really short hair and I was growing my hair long again because when I left my home island, where my mum cuts my hair, I could no longer afford having short hair. But I haded my hair and it showed. It was always greasy and frankly it looked like a stack of hay. But now my mum cut it so it is a short page just long enough for my banks to go behind my ears, and as I said, I love it. And it hasn’t looked grease for an entire week (I have been washing it with the same frequence as usually). so this is a step towards creating a new style for myself.
