I took a week long break from this and then randomly worked on it while watching movies but it’s done! I kind of wanted it to be 5’x5’ but I think I’m happy with it at 4’x4’. I’m glad to have it done!

How I did it: While watching movies. I was basically just crocheting one giant granny square so it was really repetitive and was pretty easy to do while having my attention focused on something else. Read how I did it…
How I did it: It made me feel real good that I was able to finish something that I have never done before.I learned it from my mom she is the one that helped me learn how to make anything that I wanted to she showed me the right way to make a blanket and she also showed me that it has to be even on all sides in order to work the right way or to make it look like a blanket Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started on this blanket for my mom a couple of weeks before Mother's Day, then decided it was going to be her birthday present in July... and finally finished in August! I used a shell stitch pattern, changing colors each new row. It was a very basic stitch and got a little boring after a while, but at least it worked up quicker than using single crochet! How I did it: I crocheted 4 rectangular pieces, two red and two black. Then I Double Crocheted them all together long ways with black string and short way with red string. Once the whole thing was together I did a black and red ruffle by crocheting both colors at the same time. the ruffle was also done with a double crochet. Read how I did it…

It’s about four times as big as day one. This will probably take a lot less time than I thought.
I practiced crocheting little squares last night until I got the hang of it. This is the start of what will be my blanket.
Tabetha Smelser wants to move!!! :D
I am still working on my baby blanket and I am taking forever! I just kind of forgot about it for a while… teehee. I am over halfway done with it though and I am hoping to get more of it done in the next two weeks. I am on no time line to get it done anyway, except for the fact that it needs to be done before the end of the year. I really love the blanket though. It honestly puts a smile on my face every time I work on it because I know how hard I have been working on it and how my work is going to pay off bigtime when I can eventually wrap my baby up in it or use it for “tummy time”. It will all be worth it.

Well, I decided to start out making a baby blanket and I have it about halfway done! I am so excited about it! It is blue and white yarn mixed together and it absolutely beautiful!! I can’t wait to get it done so I can look at it and be like “Man, I made something cool!”. My husband thinks it looks awesome. I only did a basic single crochet stitch on the whole thing so it is nothing spectacular, but it is beautiful in its simplicity. I should have it done in a week or two, since I don’t work on it terribly regularly.

...for niece #2! This time, I’ve chosen a rich purple yarn called, “Sultana”. I’ll be using the same ripple-pattern as before, which may be boring at times, but I can also go onto “automatic” while I crochet it, which is kind of comforting.

so i think that i am about one fifth finished this goal. Ran outta yarn again, I pretty much will just use all the yarn up in one setting, and then its just a matter of having the money to go get the materials needed to continue. Ill prolly be quite on this one until Im halfway and then post a pic of it.

I finally finished my eldest niece’s blanket, about a month ago. I was sure slow… but am proud of the results.
Now, I have to make another one for my youngest niece…
