Yeah once upon a time I was very good handling the German language. I took the National German test once too and had a very good score.
I haven’t really used it for the past 20 years. I have been thinking I want to go to Germany to trace my family’s roots because that is where my roots obviously are. I thought it would be nice if I could converse with them all in fluent German and see if they think I am a Germany native. You know, they always love it when we tell them we’re from America because they want to practice their English on us, but don’t want to talk German with us because of that. If only I could fool someone!!
