CarmDelayed
This is a goal I didn’t want to add for the longest time because I was afraid it would languish too long on my list. But I finally added it in late May as I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had the motivation I needed – a comfortable bed for my recovery.
So I put it on my list and then it happened. My surgery got moved up a few days and many things on my to do list had to go. Including getting a new mattress.
Not a day goes by that I wish I had the new mattress. Our ancient one is uncomfortable and hard to stay in long enough for a decent night’s sleep.
I would love to say that once I am able to walk and drive and get into a mattress store this would be quickly taken care of, but I’m afraid new obstacles have arisen. Not the least of which is a lack of money.
A lot of cash is going out for medical bills these days. In order to get the mattress I will have to finish our taxes first, and in all the upheaval to get ready for surgery that project got set aside and is completely disorganized. So it might take some time.
But I’m still hoping that a new mattress will be ours in a few months. I still have a lot of recovery and catching up to do, so I will set my goal for the mattress project to October. That should give me enough time to get the taxes done in September and when the return arrives in October we can buy the mattress set. 11 months ago
