start a scholarship fund

I am very concerned about the education of children, particularly young black males. I want to set up a scholarship for kids to apply very early (as young as 1st graders) that will grow and can be redeemed when the start their first year of college. I want to have it general enough so that the students can choose any area of higher learning. I want the kids to have the scholarship as an incentive to finish school and go on to college.

my brother George was killed in a Con-Ed Accident on Oct 9th and we are looking to start a scholarship in his memory….

I am looking for information on how I may start my own scholarship fund to pay for my daughters college education and have the tax benefits of the scholarship. Does anyone out there know how I could do this?

I want to start a fund for females 18-23 who are enrolled in school or have a high school diploma and dont have awny children. So many scholarships today require you to have a child to even be considered a candidate is it an accomplishment to have a child at an early age. I always thought that it was-is better to wait so why not reward a student for not having a child

I’ve been interested in doing something that deals with non profit organization. In the past few months, I’ve been looking into starting my own scholarship, that aims to help high school students, with a an outstanding GPA, pay their way through college. My main objective is to help fund a certain amount of their tuition. I’m thinking about a $1,000 scholarship, but I don’t know how feasible that’ll be.
