I am currently signed up to run a half marathon on Nov. 30th and just finished my 3rd week of training. I am running (very slowly mind you) 4 miles…a lot of work to do!
I’m in my first week of training for the Toronto Marathon half-marathon. I’m really excited!
I re-evaluated my goal and decided that running a marathon was not that desirable to me. So, I changed my goal to a half-marathon.
After 1 1/2 months of training, I am at the 8 mile mark with a goal to get to 10 this Saturday. Not bad for someone that got winded doing 1 mile 2 months ago!

Only 10 minutes at first will suffice
I ran Cardiff half two years ago, from a base fitness level of absolute zero. I did it in 2 hrs 20, it hurt like hell and is still one of the best things I’ve ever done!! I’ve been injured pretty much solidly for two years, but am planning to give it another go this year and get my time under two hours. I was a fairly unfit and inactive person before, and it has changed many of my lifestyle habits for the better. Definitely worth doing!
I really think it’d be cool to do one of these just kindof as a precursor and confidence-builder for running a marathon eventually.
One of my dreams is to run a half-marathon in Moab, Utah (such a beautiful place)!
