    Run a 5k 1 week ago

It’s been many years since I was on the cross country team. I would love to be able to run again.

and we're off.... 3 months ago

so, i have officially started my training for a 5K run… And I will be signing up for Kimberton Run on Sept 27th. I expect to fully run it…
I am also signing up for a 20K (which is 13 1/2 miles) but I FULLY INTEND on walking 90% of that… That will be on Sept. 7th. I will be so proud of myself if I follow through with these goals! YIPpEE!!!

i hate running... 3 months ago

but for some reason, i want to become a runner. i can run a little over a mile but i hate every second of it… but i feel AMAZING when it is all over… Once, I even ran 2 miles w/o stopping!! LMAO, i know, it’s pathetic… haha, i’m just not a runner.
i dont know, i would love to be the kind of person that went running to relieve stress… getting up at the crack of dawn and breathing in all that good fresh morning air… ahhhh. anyway, i am going to set a goal of completing a 5K. I have to look into a training schedule to see what a reasonable time line for training would be.

Big Peach 5k run 4 months ago

Completed my first 5k in 28 minutes. Typically it takes me about 40 minutes to run 5k at a track. I sure was sore the next day!

I went to http://active.com and searched for a race in my area. It was so much easier than I thought. It really made me push myself even harder.:)

    Lots of fun!

I finally did it. 11 months ago

I finished the Boo run, main street lakewood ranch. The race went well. No problems, no injurys. I hope I am back on track. I ran a PR 20:35 and finished in the 12th spot. No way I can complain about that with only getting 10 runs in 2 months due to injuries. I am doing calf raises and stretching twice a day and it seems to be helping. Now its time to ramp it up, Harvest Hustle is in three weeks and I want to beak 20 mins and get a top 10 finish.

    wooo hoooo! 11 months ago

We ran it this morning. Same route we always take. Doni took the jogger up the series of hills… including The Big Hill. Rosmery kept pushing me especially when we got to the hills. It feel so good to have completed this goal. Yeah us! =)

    Things that helped me:
    1. workout partners
    2. routine
    3. walking first then adding stretches of runs on flats, downhills, then uphills
    4. SETTING THIS AS A CHALLENGE!

2.4 miles and counting! 11 months ago

I’m so excited! I just have to conquer The Big Hill. I also think it will help when I’m not pushing the jogger with the 30 pound toddler in it. So, I think I will complete this goal. VERY VERY EXCITING stuff for me!

Due to the Due Date 11 months ago

I walked a 5k this past weekend! It wasn’t too bad and I finished in a little over an hour. I thought my pregnant body would have more of a revolt in store but it didn’t work out that way, thankfully! I’m making plans for how best to get backinto the running shoes after junior is here!
