model nude for an art class

It turns out that the local artists group doesn’t do regular classes, but they do workshops once in a while. So I need to wait until someone gets a workshop together before an opportunity will even be available, and in that case it might not even be a figure studies workshop. Or I could just wait until I move back to the city and find a more permanent opportunity. Wouldn’t that be cool, to be a nude model every week as a job??? Hahaha, I can’t wait to do this goal. I don’t know why it freaked me out so much when I first added it – now it seems exciting!!!

I would like to be a nude model for art classes, film extras, photographic events, etc. I am male, age 50 with an athletic build.

And it has nothing to do with body image issues or insecurities – i’m perfectly fine wearing a bikini to the beach – it’s more the fear of vulnerabilty, which is a fear i want to face, so i think finding the courage to do this would be something to be proud of. Plus the art class atmosphere seems like a safe and non-degrading environment. It’s not sexual, it’s just about your body in an anatomical way, how it is and where it’s at. And there isn’t [supposed to be] judgement about your body, and I like that idea. I’ve seen so many nude sketches of soft and curvy women and they are beautiful that it feels like it’s okay to look however you look. I think I will try this this summer!

I am incredibly proud of my body now that I have had a child. I think it looks great considering the circumstances. It makes me want to accomplish this goal even more.
