I’ve learned a bit of the basics- but I want to master at least 10 different tricks.

Although I sleep with Sang my CJ ball everynight.. i have not made much progress on actually contact juggling.. especially with my left hand… altho i did buy a video and discover contactjuggling.org which has a lot of cool little how to move vidoes.. so thats cool. i just need to practice more.
Contact juggling is amazing once you get it down – but don’t stop practicing – ever! Seriously, it’s all about managing to hit the moves once, then trying to achieve that same feel again.
I’ve been at it on and off for several years, with only things off the internet and my own imagination to guide me, and it is possible to learn without buying lots of books and movies and balls.
I started with just slitting open a tennis ball, filling it with sand, then duct-taping it back up. This was my only contact juggling ball for about two years, after which I bought an acrylic. It worked just fine for all the basic body-rolling stuff, but billiard balls are better for palm-spinning.
An awesome site to go to for help is www.contactjuggling.org.
I have a book and a practice ball, and I mess around with it, but damn, that’s hard.
It takes about a day to get started with the basic butterfly move, and after that it gets more fun every day. Buy a 3-4” cj ball and practice on a lawn or a carpet, because you WILL drop your ball a lot.
It has really helped me unwind, and has been very rewarding.
