so some new projects that are under construction 22 months ago

are:

wiring all my electronics from the tv to the stereo to the multi computers we use to the lights, and if management wont kill me any other household appliance i can think of on one grid controlled both by a super remote, and accessible via computer. this is an ambitious goal that will stretch my knowledge of craft above and beyond my technical capabilities currently..

then its robots.

i have this really disgusting couch i bought at goodwill for $60. it was big, plush, and comfy. now that i have a really nice leather couch with two recliners it really kinda clashes with my decor, plus the lines are irregular and its really a lopsided looking couch. way to feminine for my conservative taste, but it was $60. hopefully i will be able to take it apart and refinish to a more serviceable shape that keeps it just as plush and comfy but a much more cool look. yah that seems ambitious even by my standards… but it is a goal for 2008 and besides it was $60 so if i bomb damn, it was a good learning experience.

during the year i hope to actually work on my paintings and finish the dozen or so i have started, and maybe finish the series i go going on. then maybe i can start on my actual experimental work but not till i finish my technical applications of negative space. the biggest challenge with acrylics is i dont make up my mind easily, and always rushrushrush so as to give a rougher less realistic feel to it, while still trying to be proportionally accurate which is something kinda weird for me. i think i should work more on realism, but it is so damn tedious, and nerve wracking i dont want to!

finish my portrait illustrations of various people i admire. famous people mostly…male figures

take a pottery class that lets me use the tools necessary to make plates, and cups and bowls for my own personal use. that is dishwasher safe and well maybe not microwaveable… or learn at least the aspects necessary to be the tech/con friendly things i want… but after completion throw a dinner party with my posh new wares.

get an eye patch for my car. fix the side view mirror.

Working toward this goal . . . 3 years ago

I’ve been steadily chipping away at all my projects so they’re not “half done” anymore. It’s been a real challenge, but it’s working—I’m designating a certain project to a particular day and giving myself a deadline. It’s working!

that's a lead project 4 years ago

and i think i’m not alone for that, but yes, “how to?” is the big question…how they did it ? how you organize it? Do you need a company to build them ? a fundation, a group , a team, do i need only encouragement ? what is needed for utopic projects, for art’s one… tell me your advices.
thanks
