Run my own web server

i have a nice LAMP i host, mostly for fun and geekiness, but, very useful tool

I want to run my own web server at home, for hobby. I’ve readen a lot of things, and still now nobody explained me how to put him running with dns. localy I can put him working ,but only localy. I would like get it working and access it from anywhere like normal web server and not just on my machine…
