become a surgeon

Well, at the moment I’m studying medicine for two terms. So there’s still much work to do.

be the best surgeon i can be

study really hard and work all over the world.

Id like to be a cosmetic surgeon to make people feel better about themselves but also have the capabiltites to work as a reconstructive surgeon so i can help poor people and work for something like doctors without borders

i dont know exactly since when i hav this dream. maybe after i got surgery subject at my preclinic,, or after i read complication by atul gawande.. :)

i know to reach this dream is not easy, its gonna be hard and spend my time or my energy.. sometime i feel so bored with all the med’s stuff and im not so smart too so i almost lost my confidence. but i must not give up,,
so im gonna shout out aloud “I WANT TO BECOME A SURGEON” \(n-n)/ GANBATE!!

I’ve always wanted to be a doctor of any kind and the more i thought about it and the more i realised that i would hate having to deal with sick people: they complain, they think they know more than you do and lets face it they’re sick so they are kind of depressing…So at least being a surgeon i would spend the most of my time with unconscious people that i can manage!!!
I’ve started last month my first year of medical school ( wich is sOOoOoO hard in france ) !!!!

Back me up here if you feel the same way, I don’t think that I want to become a surgeon just because I save peoples lives and watch the get better, although I would say that is huge part of why I want to become a surgeon. It’s not about the money either although you all know that that’s a part of it. No, the biggest reason I think I want to become a surgeon is the thrill, the challenge, the fact that you are making a difference in a week, that some people don’t make in a lifetime. Becoming a surgeon is my way of making a difference, and I believe that’s one (of many, some of which I don’t know of yet) of the reasons I want to become a surgeon,

My dream ever since I was an infant, was to become a surgeon. I was never sure why, but that was what I had always wanted to do. As I grew older, and I understood a surgeon’s emotional strength, and endurance in difficult situations, I wanted it even more. Now, I am working even harder towards achieving that goal. However, even with such desire, I don’t know if I ever will.

Although most people don’t think that I am serious though… I think their just thinking that I want to be a surgeon just because of the money but I actually want to become a surgeon because I want to help people… Dr. House and the CSI series brought an influence to me. That ’s why I want to become a doctor. Cause when I see them help people around, I though then that, I don’t need to be able to shoot anyone to become a social helper but I could also help them solve crime or help dying people.

I don’t know why I want to be a surgeon, I guess there isn’t really just one simple answer to that. I was reading through all these entries and many of you put things similar to; I want to be a surgeon because I want to help people and see them get better, and I think that you all are very nice people but I really don’t feel that way. Before setting my mind to becoming a doctor and eventually a surgeon I wanted to be an architect, but once I put my mind to surgeon I suddenly got this very weird sensation. It was as if everything was put into prospective for me and I gradually started see every other carrier completely pointless and empty. It is hard to describe in a short entire but since then I knew I had to be a surgeon.

that i pass that god forsaken test or my life will have no meaning in the medical field!
