I’d like to remember to exfoliate regularly and learn to put fake tan skilfully.
How to improve my appearance
How I did it: Lost enough weight (6kgs), grown my hair out to just above shoulder length. Makes me look a lot more mature, and slimmer.
Argh 150 character minimum though!

Jadelee is sick of seeing the rain. WHY??!!
The first thing to tackle here is weight loss. I want to lose a stone bringing me to 13stone ( sounds a lot but is actually not on me )
This should make me a size 12 which I am perfectly happy with.
I was never particularly ‘girly’ when I was a teenager and didn’t wear makeup as a matter of course, just for special occasions. I also never learnt how to do my hair in any of the really intricate styles. It’s either down or in a ponytail. Very occasionally, in a plait.
These days, I still don’t really wear makeup to work or any other reason, and I have straight layered hair that I dye every few months.
My wardrobe is also fairly limited as I am more likely to blow my income on DVDs and books than clothes and makeup.
I want to change this though – I want to start making more effort and taking some pride in my appearance. I need to clear my skin up and if I wear makeup, it’s amazing what a difference it makes! I look tons healthier and my appearance is much improved.
If I put some more effort into my appearance, I think this will help me feel more positive in general and encourage me to make more effort in other areas of my life as well. Not that this is the most important one, but it’s something to start with.
General goals:
1. Sharp, alert, focused. Not sloppy. And yet,
2. Calm, collected. Not stressed.
3. Warm, accessable. Not cold and distant.
4. Feminine, elegant, sophiscated, and a little quirky.
Done:
1. new hair cut. (Next time I will stick with straight)
2. new glasses.
3. Lancome foundation; bronzer; lipsticks.
4. new necklace; grey top.
Need:
0: concealer; powder.
1. Cleansing routine and make up.
2. Eyelid spot.
3. eye brow trimming.
4. Whitten and fix teeth.
So I think that there aren’t that many more appointments until I get my braces off so that’s pretty great. The braces is the main thing I need to lose to improve. I think it would be like night and day because I’d have nice white teeth instead. Right now they are clear brackets and I have a power chain stretching across some of the teeth and elastics in to move the teeth so it’s like a construction zone in my mouth. I cannot wait to get them off. Like I’ve said, I’m going to buy crest white strips right after!!
-get rid of belly and double chin
-trim those split ends
-get rid of those braces
-whiten my teeth
I’ve had it for 8 years now, and finally got some medicine for them.just have very low self esteem at the moment.wonder how long it will take to make any improvement.??
I scheduled an orthodontist appointment (with a lady who was not particularly helpful), so here’s hoping they help me make progress with the retainer I’m STILL wearing. I also went to a crafts store and bought some plain t-shirts for two bucks each. They’re solid colors, which I like. I feel like it’s easier to pick out clothes in the morning that way, they’re practical, and their solidity makes it easier to draw attention to a necklace or earrings. I also feel like it makes my face look better, somehow XD That might just be wishful thinking, though.
okay so I’m just gaining weight and feel fat. ew. so it’s not improving.. I’m still around 150 lbs, when I want to be 130lbs. I need to be stricter on myself.
Well, so far I’ve made some progress. I bought the whitening strips and got halfway through them, and I’m already seeing a difference. I’ve been using the lemon juice on my face at night, and I like the effects. I bought a nice mesh pouch for my soap, to make it easier in the shower, and I bought a nail brush so I can scrub them clean. Also, I haven’t used any makeup since I started this goal, and I think I’m overall better off that way.
WHAT I STILL NEED TO DO
- Continue letting my hair grow out.
- Schedule an orthodontist appointment.
- Finish the whitening strips.
- Keep my eyebrows neat (threading?).
- Take care of and use my piercings.
- Continue drinking plenty of water each day.
- Continue eating healthy food.
- Improve my posture.
- Buy new clothes (secondhand).
- Get my anemia test out of the way.
- Exercise (biking, running with my dog).
- Get more fresh air.
