i’m not photogenic.. so i really look bad in photos, but in mirror i look ok or in webcam.
How to be photographed
It made me
love myself more.

How I did it: I had a creative idea. I found a photographer off of tribe.net who wanted to expand his portfolio and contacted him. We met and we seemed to have a similar sense of artistry and we started working. We probably shot 12 times over the course of 2-3 years.
Lessons & tips: Within that time frame I also tried nude photography because it scared
the living daylights out of me. It was soooooo worth it. I learned so
much about myself and became less critical because I saw that a lot of
my own insecurities were in my head. I really saw that I could be
beautiful and that what I perceived to be ugly was not so ugly......I
recommend it highly.

While I’m embarrassed to be a photographer’s model-despite the comfort of the situation-I still would really like someone to WANT to take my picture, to see me as beautiful or inspiration or interesting (ultimately, all three). However, because of my shyness (and the waiting-around for someone to want to get snap-happy with me will be a waste), I am taking pictures of myself, however I want to be photographed, and someday-when pictures of my face are hanging in art galleries speckled across the globe-all the photographers out there will be sorry they hadn’t thought of it first!
